Google Analytics (GA4) – Connection Instruction

Our GA4 integration uses the Google Analytics API to push click data into your GA4 account to report Events. To do this, we require you to connect your GA4 account to our VCT call tracking system.

Before you connect up, you require:

1. Your GA4 data stream Measurement ID
2. A ‘CallTracking’ API Secret code
3. Create a ‘CallTracking’ event in GA4

To link your Google Ads account to VCT Call Tracking system, please follow these steps:

 

Step 1: Log into VCT Dashboard

Step2: Enter our Integration system and open the Assets list

 

Step 3: click on the ‘Google Analytics GA4’ recipe

 

Step 4: Select ‘Edit’ button ion top right corner.

 

 

Step 5: At step 6 of the recipe, click on ‘Upload Click Events in Google Analytics’ to reveal the Google Analytics Measurement ID and API Secret fields.

 

Step 6: Enter the Measurement ID and API Secret code, then select Connect, then select Save.
