Google Ads – Connection Instruction

Our Google Ads integration uses the Google Ads API to push Clicks to match against conversions. To do this we require you to connect your Google Ads account to our call tracking system.

If you are a:

  • Digital Agency; we require
    1. You to follow the below steps to connect your Agency’s Google Ads MCC account.
    2. Then provide us with the following information to complete the connection:
      1. Your 10-digit MCC account number
      2. The Clients 10-digit account number
      3. The ‘CallTracking’ conversion ID (10- digit ‘ctld’ number in the conversion URL. Instructions are found here)

 

  • Direct Google Client; we require
    1. You to follow the below steps to connect your Google Ads Client account.
    2. Then provide us with the following information to complete the connection:
      1. Your 10-digit Client account number
      2. The ‘CallTracking’ conversion ID (10- digit ‘ctld’ number in the conversion URL. Instructions are found here)

 

To link your Google Ads account to VCT Call Tracking system, please follow these instructions:

Step 1: Log into your VCT Dashboard and select the client account.

Step 2: Enter our Integration system and open the Assets list.

 

Step 3: wait 10-20 secs for the Asset window to load. This reveals the Integrations Assets list.

 

Step 4: click on the ‘Google Ads’ recipe

 

Step 5: Select ‘Connections’ tab.

 

Step 6: Select ‘Sign in with Google’ blue button to reveal the Google sign in window.

 

Step 7: Select the Google account associated with your Google Ads account

 

Step 8: Select ‘Allow’

 

Final Step: this will bring you back to a confirmation page.

  1. Your screen should say ‘Connection successfully established’ (as per below image), and you can close out of the platform.
  2. Email your account manager to advise that you have successfully completed the set-up, as there are further steps on our end to complete the integration flow, and provide the following information:
    • Digital Agency; we require
      1. Your 10-digit MCC account number
      2. The Clients 10-digit account number
      3. The ‘CallTracking’ conversion ID (10- digit ‘ctld’ number in the conversion URL)
    • Direct Google Client; we require
      1. Your 10-digit Client account number
      2. The ‘CallTracking’ conversion ID (10- digit ‘ctld’ number in the conversion URL)
